Bronze for knife blades

I just watched a video about bronze age swords. They were put to the test and held up better than I thought they would. The tested sword was shown to cut paper really well. Of course when it was used to parry a modern high carbon blade sword, the bronze sword got cut up pretty bad while the steel sword of course didn't have a nick in it.

My question is: Have any of you made bronze knifes, either forged or cast just for the fun and the ancient romance associated with them. I am kind of into the bronze age - Egypt and early Greece.

Thank you for your input.

I had heard that Delbert Ealy was experimenting a bit with some bronze blades.
and Philip Patton made one a short while back.

take a look at 954 bronze. has iron and aluminum in the mix and can be hardened. we use it at the office for wear strips that ride inside of steel rails. should make an interesting blade.

I just surfed the internet. I can't believe how much they want for bronze. It was way more than I expected. I'll have to think a bit more about it before I make a "fun" knife.
