We know who did the scrimshaw, but who made the knife and what is it worth? John Hagnas did the scrimshaw and the blade has SBS on it.

I get to climb up on my soapbox again! :) This is a perfect example of why I harp on makers putting a NAME on their work. Frankly without being able to positively identify the knife, its impossilbe to establish a value. Collectors will rarely touch a knife that can't be positively identified....thus the value will be low.

Nice knife...And Scrim

We care about the knife, and we think that the person who made it should deserve credit. This little puppy is so shiny that I was afraid to take a picture because I didn't want my mug to ruin the picture! I will continue to snoop, though.
