My maternal great grandparents were Russian Jews who emigrated to the United States before WWII. My mother's father hid it, but she converted to Judaism when I was in the Navy, surprising just about everyone. I've also got Muslim, Presbyterian, Baptist, Pastafarian, Buddhist, and Humanist within a generation in my family. I respect everyone's right to choose and wish them all well around the Holidays and throughout the year.
