Anniversary Santoku (big pics)

This one was commissioned by a co-worker as an anniversary gift for his wife. "614" is for June 14; stencil by Ernie.
It is .070" AEB-L, 11.5" OAL
Blade is 6.5"
The handle is York Gum Burl from Bad Dogs, with black G10 liners
The mosaic pin is made by your truly.
He didn't want a box or case for it so I made the wood sheath because I don't like the idea of giving someone a pretty sharp knife without something protective.

That is a beautiful job on that one- really like lines and wood sheath and totally impressed with the hand made pins!

Thanks. I'm pretty pleased with this one. Still a few things I need to improve upon. I still have a hard time keeping the area of the blade in front of the "bolster" crisp and clean. But overall I'm happy.

The pins might be my best set to date.
