Louisiana - near Baton Rouge

Hello;

I live near Baton Rouge. I have an interest in making knives / keychain gadgets / small nut & bolt metal sculptures.

Just curious if there are any like minded people in my area. I am currently in the process of setting up a small shop at my home.

So far shop includes:
* CNC Plasma Table (4' X 4')
* Ellis 1600 Band Saw
* Beaumont KMG Grinder on the way (if they ever start taking orders again)
* Miller MIG & TIG (need to learn)
* Lincoln AC/DC Stick
* Looking at a small milling machine value vs. learning curve for a non-machinest

The CNC Plasma Table was bought for income supplement, but should definitely help with the other interest . . .

What I don't have is experience doing what I want to do as for as the fun stuff.

Welcome Steve, I'm about 2 hours from you. I live about half way between Alex. & Natchez, MS. You're welcome to come for a shop visit any time. Just call before you come. I'm here most of the time but I'd for you to drive that far and me be gone.
