Hello from West Texas

Just wanted to sign on and say, "Hello". Not a knife-maker, but I like to look at good knives and would like to maybe build one of these slip-joint kits. Love following the WIP threads and admire the skills many of you have in creating these works of art.
 
Welcome Rafter P. I assume that is a brand. I was going to be clever and put it in my welcome, but I am not computer literate enough to do it. Careful with that Trapper Kit. You will find yourself addicted like the rest of us! There is a lot of country out in that part of Texas. Can you narrow it down for us?

West TX is bigger than four or five of those tiny New England states put together. I'm in Abilene, the eastern edge of west Tx. It's still 444 miles to El Paso from here.
