my best yet

I've got a friend of the family who owns a business manufacturing furniture etc., anything really that's made of wood. He's helped me several times with cutting and planing wood as he has big expensive saws and such that make short work of it. My dad and I decided that a thank you was in order. Anywoo, he works with mahogany. His son passed along under the radar that he might like something in Zebrawood and I decided to take it a step further and add a piece of his Mahogany in there as well. This is how it turned out, and if I do say so myself, probably my best work yet.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. I delivered the knife this morning and he loved it.

Looks real nice, like a knife with lots of handle. Very good work.

I'm right there with you. If I have to use a knife for anything more than cutting open cardboard boxes, I want to grip it. Not to mention it just feels like a waste to cut down a 1/4 inch thick piece of wood down to 1/8 or less.
