The Mud Bug

Bristol is north of Lafayette, not far from Church Point. It is good to be back home where I grew up. My dad is glad to have my wife and I right in his back yard. He is 79 and the fact that he has me right there makes him feel a lot more secure.

WD what part of La are you from?
 
Grew up in Lafayette and Duson area. Went to high school at Acadiana.
Joined the army, traveled, and came back 3 years ago to be near my father.
He is 85 now and is glad to have me back too. We go to supper every Tuesday and
argue about different things. He called me "cantankerous" the other night, told him,
"well, at least I come by it naturally!"

WD,
My fathers reply when we had such conversations was "Do as I say! Not as I do" when I pointed out where my opinionated way of looking at the world came from. he's gone now. I really miss him.
 
Small world, we go to Lafayette every so often to shop.. I am going to heal a few days any get over to see you
