1972 Westinghouse Micarta

Very nice!
i purchased the last of that exact stuff in stock at Angus-Campbell here in L.A. Kind of Brown and light butterscotch, Back in 1997 I'm been all out of it for years! I can't use any Micarta any longer. The stuff gives me mean headaches even with a resperatior. ms.jpg

I mounted these scales from the other side. This picture won't enlarge completely?

It does make a very durable and elegant handle.

Thank you very much!
It certainly was nice to be able to work with such a rare & treasured material.
But, I think the fumes from this stuff is so much worse than anything else I have ever encountered! So far, that is.
The newer types of micarta materials don't seem to be nearly as bad.
It smelled like magic marker, only 1000 times stronger.
