We're trying to get the rear quarter panel off of a Ford Taurus. Removed all the fasteners only to find that an adhesive was also used to attach it. We want to re-use the quarter panel so we need something to dissolve or weaken the adhesive. Any ideas?

Thanks, ReconMarine

Are you talking about where it attaches to the roof or in the trunk and rear deck area also. hat year is it?

Edit: I just reread and see it's a taurus so it can't be as old as I was thinking.... have you tried heat?

Les, the adhesive I can see is around the gas filler. I don't have a heat gun and am afraid to use a torch for fear of damaging the metal. The only thing we tried so far was a paint remover for aircraft grade paint.
