Hello all from Alaska! I've been on a few times looking around and finally got a little time to do the intro, so here goes. I'm a retired Army Motor Sergeant, hobby blacksmith/ bladesmith and a reformed horseshoer. Reformed my ways due a bad back and asorted other reasons, one of which was finding out there was an easier way to deal with horseshoe- Recycling them into various furnishing is way easier on the back than nailing them on some uncooperative crow-bait nags... lol. I have been making knives and sharp stuff off and on for quite awhile. Last year I took a knifemaking course here at UAF- Thanks GI Bill! working on getting my shop set up again, still got tools scattered between here, Colorado and Ohio- moving anvils and heavy tools sucks... Will be starting on some tomahawks (weather permitting) in the near future. Thanks for the info and tips, tricks and ideas I've found and will surely find more.
