This is a book press. Some of you might have known but most would not. Well I am going to put it to use again. Now I found the press in a store that was basically a junk store. I bought it for $20. So I will wipe it off.

Now this is where Bossdog saved me a ton of money. He told me to buy the camp foam from walmart sporting good department. If I remember right it was around $9, at a certain site it was $10 a square foot.

Now to cut the foam. I cut 2 pieces for this.

Glue on the foam run clamp down.

Let dry and here it is.

I will glue the second layer on tomorrow afternoon. Will post pics.

Somke folks use the same setup (minus the foam) to flatten out horn once its cut to slabs(cow horn etc.)

That's a heck of a deal on that press. Wish I could luck into finding one similar. It looks like it is gonna make one heck of a kydex press.

That certainly will press kydex and whatever else you need pressed!

It looks good.
Have you used it yet? Im just wondering how fast you can get the pressure down on the kydex while its still hot.

I've been looking for something like that! I was thinking of like a hydraulic pump for an upward pressure, but one of these seems like a way better idea!
