#2 Fixed Blade with Micarta WIP

Came across a little free time and decided to start my second. I got the blade from Texas Knifemaking, and decided to go with black micarta for a sort of "tactical hunter". I got one scale epoxied on so far and I did some shaping so I figured I would share what I have so far.

    T88 Cure/working time question

Hey guys, I'm starting my second knife. Its a drop point with micarta scales. I did a little pre-shaping and then glued and clamped up one side. The package says 60 minute gel time and 24-36hr full cure at 77F. Do I have to wait the full 24-36hr before I start doing more sanding? On a side...

    Number 1 Complete!

Thanks everyone! Since those pics, I got a sheath for it and put a lanyard through the tong hole. My scale material was 3/8" thick so it left for a pretty thick handle, in the future i'll probably go with 1/4" thick scales

    My first knife WIP!

I think you may have me confused with someone else, I am not one of our valued service members, but I'll pass your gratitude to my brother who is. Looking at the handle from the top, it does look a little chunky, and I initially planned on thinning them out but with the handle being short in...

    My first knife WIP!

Hey guys, I'm getting close to an end product so I thought I'd share what I have so far. I got this blade from ebay and found the lacewood at a Woodcraft Co near me. Here's a pic of the scales first glued and bolted on: I roughed it in with a rasp, then moved onto the 1x30 with 80 grit then...

The user has to pay to use the app, but the forum owner doesn't have to pay to add the site to tapatalk. I think it's only a couple of bucks. I got it so long ago I forget the cost exactly
