    0-1 and Desert Ironwood

I bought them pre cut. I used to buy the big chunk and cut them but no longer have access to a good table saw and planer.

    0-1 and Desert Ironwood

I finally got this set completed for a long time customer. Steel is 0-1 and wood is Desert Ironwood. The rustic feel if these is really what I was hoping for. Can't wait to see these with patina from kitchen use.

You guys have a source for step drill bits?

I guess I could try just using the correct diameter I need as a counter sink but I want the smaller dia as a pilot guide and have a square cut bottom for panhead screws.

You guys have a source for step drill bits?

Those measurements didn't seem to be what I need for some reason. I emailed Tracey yesterday about the sizes.

You guys have a source for step drill bits?

Looking for a clean way to counter sink pan head screws so Tom Krein told me to have the head side drill bit turned to have a custom size pilot bit so to speak. Anyone have these milled for them?

    First Friction Folder almost done!!

If any of you guys don't know I am very obsessive compulsive. To a point if I don't DO something sometimes it keeps me up days. So..... This is why I HAD to rough grind and heat treat this before I could relax and move onto my sheath work prep for next weekend. Blade is in temper cycle now...

    First Friction Folder almost done!!

Okay.... I just had to keep going as the flat sided bugged me :) I used a small piece of pin that wouldnt stick out to help hold the 2 sides together so I can eyeball the shaping better. Need to shorten a few screws now :) Here she is and it feels much better than before...

    First Friction Folder almost done!!

I have always liked folders but I prefer using fixed blades. Friction folders just seemed too cool and simple not to try. Finding time is always difficult to try something new so I spent more time playing with kydex to make a pattern that I liked. Anyways. I'll let the pics speak for themselves...
