Never made one but I know a few guys that have. The interesting thing ( at least I thought so) was they did stock removal from a rod rather then twist it to form. Don't know if that helps any lol

I'm assuming you're going to grind the blade convex? from the picture it looks like you might be doing a grind, I would recommend against that. Love the look of the loveless bolts, and the blade design looks good

How about skiving the ends of the straps that are to be attached? Might make for a cleaner finished look?
