I have been thinking about making a tanto blade but unsure on the grind process as whether or not to grind the tip first then the flat or vice-versa. Would appreciate any info.

Any ideas on the best type of buffing wheels to use. I got an inexpensive 6" buffer for christmas and the wheels seem to fly apart extremely fast. I like mirror finished blades but getting the final micro-scratches seems darn near impossible.

I have recently started making knives as a hobbyist, Thought this would be a good place to get some tips and techniques.
