Tracy's plans

Newbie here. Where can I find Tracy's plans....your grinder looks like it'll do most anything.

Thank's guys, If anyone is thinking about building one just let me tell you that they are simple to build and work great. tracy's plan are easy to understand and very helpful. so stop wishing and start building. if you have question about the grinder send me a private message and i will answer any thing i can...also i have 400.00 in mine the way it is. but i bought a used motor.

I had a question about the drive shaft. Tracey sells rolled steel for the shaft. Did you have to get it machined or did the pillow block come with a shaft? Also, how does the drive pulley (not the step pully but the pulley on the other end of the drive shaft) stay on the shaft? it looks like the drive pulley is held onto the shaft with a key and I'm assuming a step on the inbord side of the pully. Did you make the key slot in the shaft or a step of some kind?

You have to have a spot for a keyway in the drive shaft. That way the drive wheel and the pulley can stay on it.

I just got the plans and have an order in to pick up Friday from a local metal/fabrication shop. It should be less than $100 for enough metal to build everything with all attachments (flat platen, slack, a couple reg. tool arms, a rotating arm from jtknives plans).

My new motor will be around $200. I can't find a good used one.

I will prob. spend less than $800 but will end up with a totally awesome grinder. I could cut some cost and lose functionality but I want to do it up right since I'm investing the money anyways.

hello, i bought 5/8"keyed shaft i have about 2feet of it left i would sell. or you can have it keyed at a machine shop. I told tracy where to buy it so i think he should be stocking it soon. the drive wheel is keyed and has a hold down screw....

here's a few pictures of the build.
