My name is Liz and I too have been looking around for awhile and figured I should introduce myself. I think the knife forums are an excellent way to meet new people, see what's going on and obtain plenty of valuable information.

Although I grew up with the world of knives surrounding me, I have only recently decided to take a stab at it. I am extremely fortunate to have a great and very patient mentor. So far I have enjoyed every minute with the biggest frustration being the lack of hours in a day to be spent in the shop.

I have posted my first two finished pieces. I look forward to exchanging thoughts/ ideas and always welcome constructive criticism.

Welcome Liz beautifull work as they say the apple does not fall far from the tree.
It's easy to see where your influence for your designs comes from.

Gorgeous knives. I assume you made them without power tools?

Gabe...yes, I have been taught using files and no power tools.

Welcome, Liz, Very impressive. Love the flow of them both. The second or bottom one is splendid. I look forward to seeing more..
