I wouldn't put it on a knife without stabilizing it, it is quite soft and porous.Although I stabilize almost everything I use Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have some camphor that is drying now. It was super wet. After stabilizing I doubt it will smell much if at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What do you do specifically with your horizontal belt grinder that you wouldn't do with your vertical grinder? Just wondering as I am in the process of making my grinder go horizontal

Yeah I actually use cactus juice to stabilize a lot of the wood I use. It works great! I have some on hand I plan to stabilize this pinecone with. From my experiments so far, the heat of stabilizing the wood doesn't seem to affect the resin. It softens up a tiny bit while hot but hardens right...

Good question, yes the cone will be stabilized. The core of it is actually fairly soft. I will post pics of stabilizing and let you know how it goes. Once that's done it should be pretty solid! Windriverwild.com Instagram - windriverwild
