Here if antoher file knife that i made. I used the minwax wood hardener on the leather with the handle and it makes it almost as hard as the antler. The brass but cap was chalenging to do, by drilling a hole for the brass rod and peening it. If some one has a better way i could use the advice.

I made this knife from an old rasp. Then did a mustard finnish on the blade. The handle is stag with leather and brass spacers. All treated with minnwax wood hardener. The hardener really made the leather tough.

I am trying to find out how to do a satin finnish on a knife blade. All of the knives i have made have been mirrir pollish. If anyone could help that would be great.

This is the fisrt time that I have done leatherwork. I think it turned ok. The blade is a leaf spring. With a rosewood handle.

I tried lemon juice and it does work very well. I played around with and found that if i use electrical tape i can create desighns in the steel.
