    I tried out the whole "nessmuk" style, let me know what you guys think. Still needs a bit of polishing work, but I am really starting to like the look of some of the scale/hammer marks on the blade.

    Thanks guys. I have a few more banged out and heat treated, but not finished yet. I can tell some things are getting better, but with each step forward I see new things I need to work on. I guess that's just the way it will be.

    This is my first attempt at making a knife. I got a set of leaf springs from my neighbor for free, so I thought I would use it to practice on. I cut the rough shape of a knife like object with an angle grinder and cut off wheel. Then I annealed it and hammered it flat, bent the handle on my RR...

    I am headed out to pick up an angle grinder today. A drill press might have to wait, but I have access to one 3 miles away for now. Thanks for the advice.

    Another new guy from NC. I've been wanting to make knives for years and am finally able to get something started. I have a 2x72 grinder being built and a small-ish propane forge as well. I have a piece of RR track for an anvil, so as soon as I get my "shop" set up, I can start attempting to make...
