Yes harbor freight has great parts service, even when the machine is discontinued, the stores around here leave something to be desired though. But Grizzly has won my loyalty with there quality machines and customer service.

No fixing that. Maybe imported leather from asia? It sometimes does that, their tanning process is different. If you must use import leather it is important to treat the entire piece when you receive it with NeatsFoot Oil and allow the color to even back out for a couple of days before making...

Hey Russell, I am in the process now of moving into a larger shop. I offered a class this spring which came with a week of instruction, a full set of tools, hotel accomodations, and free lunches. All slots are full now. But I probably will offer it again in the fall.

Try sewing the straps on the inside layer, before you put all the pieces together to eliminate the rivets. Also on the front frame around the ray skin move the frame stitching line in to about 3/16" from the edge of the frame by the skin.
