I'd highly recommend finding a vintage cast iron saw and fitting a 30:1 gearbox on it if it isn't already designed for metal. I believe delta made one for wood and metal. More work but if they're engineered heavy they can take heavy work. I've only bought 1 morse blade and it's still going...
The videos by libris custom knives on youtube were very helpful when I built mine. There's a wiring diagram which is the only complicated bit. A router bit in a drill press is very handy to cut the channels for the elements
Yep, it was going too fast for titanium, It can also go ridiculously fast to cutting lock bar slots with a dremel wheel. Very handy. I still have no clue who made that bandsaw originally.
Thinking about it it's more hot rodding old tools than restoring them.
