I've been thinking about a Hamon too on one of my next blades--gotta study up on it. That's not my style but it is eyecatching, and I love the finish work you have--that is an awesome photo with the knife just levitating--nice work brother

That is some fine workmanship brother, the finger guard/blade fit is impeccable, I also like the subtle Hamon, very nice!!

I only can see the attached pic which looks like a friction folder with a Oosik handle??? What I can see looks nicely finished and pretty cool all around

Planer blades, you talk about HARD! I have made several knives out of Farriers rasps--I also did the first one without annealing it first, and I ruined a bunch (like 7) carbide drill bits, including one Masonry bit getting it drilled for TWO pins. The next ones I annealed just like you described...
