    Thanks for the info Doug. I'm using a HT oven so I can do whatever temp is supposed to be best. Is it best to bring the blade up to temp with the oven or put in after the oven's up to temp? Or does it matter?

    Hello from Pennsylvania

    Hi all. I'm just getting into knife making as a hobby. I've made a small knife for practice, a Viking Seax and an Ulu so far. I'm currently working on a tanto style combat/survival knife. It's certainly my biggest undertaking so far. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here.
