I have Paul's DVD's. At the end of one of them he mentions that if you have any questions, to give him a call. I did, and guess what...he answered. Paul is a great guy and incredibly talented. I have seen some nice sheaths, but they all seem to fall far back in comparison to Paul's.
I called Ron Clairborne when I was looking for a press. He said he was taking a hiatus from making them for a while. That was several years ago, and I bought a uncle al's press. It works great, although I did have one weld pop, and I had to have it re-welded.
You got two who are top of their game on that one. John makes great knives, I have been clicking on his links for a long time, and Paul, well you wont get better than him when it comes to leather work.
Thanks guys.
Yeah Murph. It has been quite a while since I really wanted to keep a knife, I mean really had a hard time posting it. That was the one. It just felt great in my hand and looked pretty stinkin' cool.
These are some of the knives I have made over the last few months. I have had a lot more fun since I have stopped taking orders. These are what I wanted to make at the time I happened to be making them.
Thanks everyone, I will have to try the scribing method and marking the stamp. It does make me feel a little better to know that Paul also struggles with this particular stamp. :)
