I am a part time (insert the word "struggling" here) knifemaker from the central Oklahoma area. I made my 1st knife in my grandpas' blacksmith shop when I was about 5 years old, which was to be my last steel knife for 45 years. I've been dabbling in the art of knife making in earnest for about 7 years now, and have built most of my major equipment in my garage/shop. Those builds include my 2x72 belt grinder ( from a frame kit), and my propane forge, which I fashioned from a discarded Freon bottle. I still have my grandpas' coal rivet forge, Peter Wright anvil, and a few of his hammers and tongs. I guess it is because of him that I have fallen into the money pit we call KNIFE MAKING. I hope to get to know a lot of similar "junkies". lol
Knife making, hunting, fishing, guitars, spending time with the grandkids.
