    Thanks Mike - I was refering to stabilizing the color. I like the darker color so I'll try leaving the blade in sunlight and see if I can even it out.

    Sorry, I didn't notice the visitor message you posted until now. The Obele is very responsive to UV light, and turns into a much brighter orange over time. In my short testing, it darkened to a point, and then stopped. If you were to leave the blade in sunlight, I believe it will turn into all the same color. Stabilizing it would be very difficult as it is a pretty oily wood, and I don't really know much about it, except that it was cut from Belize and is a dense wood that looks really pretty.
