They lie in Hallowed fields across the globe, resting eternally.
They served and died as Americans,
giving all they were, to defend all they loved.

From the first to fall and stain the Earth with his blood in this country's name,
To those we may lose today in a place unknown to any map.

From those who cried out for mercy and found none,
To those who charged headlong into the face of death with a snarl on their lips.

From those who came home draped in our Flag ,
To those who bought and paid for a small plot of foreign ground to rest in forever, with their lives.

From those who were drafted and had to go,
To those who volunteered because someone had to get it done.

For those who marched out knowing full well they would never return,
To those who blessedly ,never knew what took them.

For all those left behind by those who were taken from this life
To those who still have no closure of their loved ones fate.

All found pride, strength, and brotherhood amidst the horrors of war.
The choice you made to join the military, Brave.
The hardships and horrors you endured in combat, Unfathomable.
The hole your loss left in the world of those you left behind, Bottomless.
The Ultimate Sacrifice you made for all of us, Immeasurable.

Rest now, your duty done, your campaign ended.
