Textured Blackwood hunter

I learned how to do the texturing from my good friend Ed Caffrey, during a handle and guard class I was taking from him. I have not been practicing any of the texturing except on a few sheaths. I should be ashamed of myself for not taking advantage of this great way to dress up a nice piece of otherwise plain wood.

You do yourself, and your mentor proud I reckon!
That's painstaking work on the handle,I've done similar work on wood,
brass, and copper,so can fully appreciate the effort!

Nicely done, Bing. The "V" shape suits the angles of your hunter, and wrapping it around the butt gave it a completed look.

I know Ed appreciates the fact that you actually listened to what he said!

David, Thanks for the comments. I was a little leary about going around the butt with the texture. I did work for the better. :)

Hope to see you at the Blade Show
