Woodcraft at Janaf Shopping center has asked me to teach knife making classes.
The first class will be making a knife from one of the kits that woodcraft sells. I will also be offering some of my blades and some handle materials for sale to the students.

This will be a 101 type class for the newbies. They will also finish a presewn sheath.

If this goes well i will be teaching more in depth classes on knifemaking.

Dang! Wouldn't ya know it. Just as soon as I move away from the area someone starts teaching something about knife making. Glad to see it. With the number of knife makers in that area, some of them quite good, someone needs to do some teaching around there. I understand that the blacksmithing club in Virginia Beach Kind'a looks down on knife makers, or at least I've heard the complaint from some of the knife makers around there.

Hmmmmm..........interesting. There is a Woodcraft store right down the street from my shop.
 
Yeah the blacksmithing guilds don't really fancy to the knifemakers.


I found that I do enjoy teaching. I can spread the knowlege and our craft as well as make a little money doing what i love. It is a win win situation.
