First Finished Machete

Pics of first finished machete. The handle is curly quartersawn Red Oak. Three 1/8" steel pins and one Bullseye tube. Its the 18" model. The production models will have some of the kinks worked out, but I can't resist handling these samples anyway. The handle on all the machete's is 6" long.

Great looking blade. I sure do like the looks of the machete and the handle looks very comfortable for chopping. I want one!
 
Thanks guys. The handle indeed is comfortable, and allows multiple grips also. Can't wait to see some other woods on these either.
 
That's some really fine work,
and that's the first oak handle I've seen that made me drool a little...
You should be really pleased with yourself!
 
The base price is going to be $100. I will also sell blade blanks for those handy folks. Haven't decided on the price of those. I have 7 more finished as we speak, and will post more pics later.
