I just bought this knife to test:

By the number assigned to that alloy I assume that's Sandvik steel. In all of these years I have never owned a Sanvik alloy--that I know of. Graanted it might have been the outer layers of a laminated knife, but I have no direct knowledge.

Questions? Comments? Waste of a double-sawbuck?

At the very least I now have a neck knife. I 'think' I had one before, but that was a lot of Don Julio ago...

It's actually a pretty good steel.
I've had a couple 12C26 and 12C27 bladed knives,
and found them to hold a decent edge.
That design looks to be a nice lil' handful.
For $30, you can't hardly beat that!
(although,I don't know that I'd do any jogging or running with that around my neck...
looks chunky enough to leave bruises! ;) )
