First real knife made with scales from Burl Source

Here is my first real knife.
The scales are from a sample package provided by Mark from Burl Source. Thank you very much Mark.
It's a wedding gift for a Friend.
Steel: ATS34 heat trated by Texas knife
Overall legth 9.5" blade 5"
Scales: I think is walnut
Brick color liner and SS pins
The sheath is my first.

Thank you all for you posts. Most of what I learned, I have picked up here.
I guess that makes me your student.
Please feel free to coment. Everything tou say is taken as a lesson.:)

That's a great first!!! I second moon's remark, my first is a paper weight right now until I figure out what to do with it!!!

The knife looks real good. I like how you oriented the grain pattern for the handle. You did a good job. Keep up the good work.
