I am curious about the intent behind having knifedogs.com. Is it just another knife forums to keep up with, or it something more?
Personally, I really like the layout and sections for all the important topics. I also like that hands are not tied in regard to raffles or auctions. It seems to be supported (owned and operated) by my favorite makers/suppliers, which is the main reason I joined.
Now, on a more serious note. Are the makers permanently migrating here and not renewing their previous memberships on a couple other popular knife forums? Is this the intent? If so, I definitely support that decision. Some other forums have not expanded to help the custom maker and are out of control in regards to high fees for the one man shop.
The purpose of these questions was not to start a war, but discuss a real issue. If it turns into an us vs. them war, then please delete the thread.
