#8 Small Game Skinner - 1084 and Redwood Burl

This is my 8th knife, I made it for a friend of mine who worked with me to make what we thought would be a good knife for gutting and skinning small game.

1/8'' 1084 heat treated by myself
OAL - 6 3/4''
Blade - 2 13/16''
Handle - 3 5/8''
hand rubbed to 400 grit
First time trying a little file work for thumb traction!
Scales - Redwood Burl
Pins - Nickel/Silver

Let me know what you think

Looks good Ern. I want to see you make a tactical and take pics with its case (you know, the under cover pink box).

I am working on one now!! Not sure if it is a good design for military/tactical but I am trying!! Its going to have a sandblast finish, and tan micarta scales.
It will be ready for the desert!!!

Very nice, I really like how the lines of the redwood burl make the blade flow.

Ernie, I thought you had my pistol for a minute, till I looked at the barrel length. I got the same pistol except mine has the 9" barrel. Most accurate pistol I have ever owned! :D

Now for the knife I really like it! The burl is awsome! The design of the blade makes me think of an older pocket knife with the long drop/trailing point. I would give it one of these2thumbs and one of these rockon
