This seven inch feather pattern fighter is going to a gentleman who specifically wanted it to cut well on the upswing as well as the downswing.

The false edge is ground at nine degrees per side for a combined angle of 18 degrees.

Stabilized crotch wood walnut has been selected for the handle. Stained dark with a deep hand rubbed finish.

The guard and hardware will be wrought iron with silicon bronze spacing and jade green shims.

The blade is ready to heat treat, in the pic with the cutting edge at .0420.

How are you and the family my friend?

Glad you like the blade. When I get this far along on one of the feather patterns and it all looks right I am thrilled. There is a lot of work in the billet and they all don't turn out right so when they do I am in the mood to celebrate. 2thumbs

Beautiful feathers Fred, and really nice shape to the blade.

I look forward to seeing more.

Hi Carey!

I'll start forging the wrought iron guard in the morning and start fitting the handle pieces together.

Thanks, glad you like it, Fred

I appreciate that. You have some lovely stabilized wood on your web site.

I am always on the lookout for nice stabilized blocks.

Thanks Fred, Mike and I just started our own little forum here and hope you'll stop by and visit us there.
