Twist Damascus and Cherry Burl

Hi all, here is one fresh off the bench. This one is 80 layer twisted damascus made up of 1084/1080/15n20 forged to shape. The handle is Cherry Burl stabilized by WSSI. Handle has black vulcanized spacers, 3/16" brass pins and thong tube, 9" overall length. Still have to make up a sheath for it which should be done in the next few days. Thanks to all for looking and have a good day. -Burton

Gotta love that cherry burl. One of my favorites if you can keep it from cracking as it dries........Beautiful when done correctly like this.

Great work as always Burton. 2thumbs

nice steel. I just saw good cherry burl for the first time a couple years ago. it is really nice stuff and your material is a great looking piece. it's under rated.
good looking knife.

The cherry is very distinct. You were correct about the eyes; really sets the handle off.

This next week should be a good one. Spring coming on, fields plowed; a little rain and you won't be able to resist.

Have a good one, Fred
