You never really know how well you have done until you are ready to put your makers mark on. To me thats what makes damascus such a fun challenge.
Have you ever found an inclusion right in the center of the billet? No fun there.

The one side was ground to 80 grit and etched. Its 4 inches from tip to shoulders. Its stacked W's that has been cleaved down the center. Feather Pattern is the common vernacular.

This will be a push dagger of sorts.

I can't draw.

In some ways I am fortunate that I cannot draw. Well I do put pencil to paper on occasion, but it never seems to look like what I see in my minds eye. Matter of fact my 3rd grade teacher would still fail me for my current feeble attempts.

Because this is the case I have to ponder what I am going to do next for a far longer time than most. But since I don't have a set picture or drawing to look at and follow the results are usually a surprise to me; which is nice.

I'll get pics up after the blade is ground and the knife takes shape.
