Ebony and Ivory

I forged this Integral from a 7/8" round bar of 52100 bearing steel.
The handle was shaped from a block of premium Gabon Ebony and has some very unique striations throughout.
The oval inlays are cut from a Mammoth Ivory tusk. Since the outer portions of Mammoth Ivory frequently absorb the different minerals in the ground in which they reside for thousands of years, they often take on fabulous colors from these minerals.
I was given the suggestion by an acquaintance to call this [particular color of Ivory "Peanut Butter"!
I think that was a great suggestion.
