Bandsaw speed question

I ended up getting the Harbor freight bandsaw that was posted about earlier here.
I will be cutting 1/8" and 3/16" 01 steel blanks with it.
It is able to run on 3 speeds, 80, 120 and 200 FPS.
What would be the best speed to use for the cutting of the blanks?

I think you're talking about FPM… not FPS. I'd probably use 120FPM... but that's just what works for me. I have a VS DeWalt portaband that generally runs in that range (maybe slightly slower) when I'm roughing blanks.

Of course the first thing you want to do is get you a good bi-metal band saw blade and trash the one they give you on the machine.

I never take mine of the fastest speed and it work fine for everything. Its great for cutting micarta and g10 if you get a 10-14 tpi blade. Dont need a bimetal for those but the bimetal is great for all other steel.
