Boot Knife

J. Hoover

KNIFE MAKER
Here is another one I recently completed.
Made from 5/32 D2 tool steel and dressed in stabilized Black Ash Burl from Larry, Shaughnessy here on the forums. This burl is hard, dense and beautiful. Great stuff for sure and Larry is a super guy to deal with. The sheath is made from 6-7 ounce veggie tanned leather, it fits like a glove, tooled, stained and finished to a nice low sheen. The stainless clip is stiff and will hold this knife securely on your belt, cowboy boot, waistband, or pocket. No metal inside for your knife to contact. Here are the specs>

Steel- 5/32 D2 Tool steel heat treated and tested to 60-61 RC
AOL- 8 3/8 inches
Clip Point Blade is 4 inches to front of scales
Handle- 4 3/8 inches
Scales- Stabilized Blach Ash Burl with red vulcanized fiber liners
Hardware is Brass
Sheath is included
