Extended use of high heat, heat treatings effects on kilns?

I was wondering if anyone has taken into consideration or noticed any effect of high temp heat treating on kilns? Like 1950*-2000* heat treat recipes, just how hard is it on a kiln?

I've probably done more than most - often into 2150 and a couple times into 2200f. I generally turn my kilns over about every 4 years just so I have current models to demonstrate. The only element I've killed was on a prototype kiln where the elements fit poorly and sagged and touched each other. So I'd suggest elements are pretty tough. Basic care. I don't leave the kiln open to cool till its under 600F and there are no salts in my shop.

Knifemaking kilns are designed for these temps. 1950 is really not high - perhaps even the most common cycle. Can't speak for home mades or converted pottery kilns though.
