Just finished hammering out my first blade...

I finished hammering out my first blade. I was an old nicholson file. I used my single brick set up. Now I need a few questions to be answered. After all my hammering was finished I got the blade hot again and put it back in my annealing medium. Tomorrow I plan on filing to the finished shape and possibly heat treating. I am curious to know the correct sequence of making a blade. Thanks.

I just so happens that I just finished reorganizing the "Heat Treating Toolbox" thread at the top of this forum to be in the most commonly used sequence of treatments.
