Survey...

We makes lots of custom parts. I'd like some input please.
We spec the parts to +/- .0005" (1/2 thou)

When you buy a pivot that is 1/4"...
Do you want it to be exactly .250" (ie .2495" to .2505")
Keep in mind if you drill a .250" hole, chances are 1 in 3 that you will get a .2505" part and it won't fit in the hole. Also, drill bits and reamers wear down and get smaller. This also increases the chance of the hole being too small...

Or do you expect/want it to be .2495" (ie .249" to .250") (this is how we have been making our parts for several years now.)

Travis, our crack machinist wants some feedback. I do also.

keep 'em coming if you want exactly the parts that work for you best...

I know this is an older survey and i am just starting folders and just NOW getting to the questions on the pivot but i would want is consistent parts and not plus and minus .0005 but consistent with in a total tolerance of .0005.

And i have another question on style of pivot AND how to tighten and not pinch the blade and liners.
