Sand paper

I've heard a lot of positive comments about rhynowet sandpaper and plan on making a purchase in the near future. I intend to use the 9x11 sheets on my 9inch disc grinder as well as for hand sanding blades and handle material. My question is which product is best suited for this application, the aluminum oxide or silicon carbide?

Thanks!

In my experience the S/C will last longer but I like the way the O/A cuts a bit better.

I tend to use the Rynowet & other 9 x 11 sheets for hand sanding only and buy the precut & glued disks by Norton, Klingspor, Hermes for 9" disc work. Most supply houses will have them like here at Midwest from BossDog.

I get mine from Scott @ www.tru-grit.com They even have Norton Blaze Ceramic disks in the heavier grits and those are the best value in cutting and longevity of a 9" Disc.

The sheets tear up to fast when glued onto a power tool. The backing on the precut are much better.

Laurence,

Thank you for the quick response. I tried the link and it takes me to a retro racing club.
