There was a nice turnout for Saturdays get together. Darren Perkins [dperk] drove down from Cleveland to join us. If we gave an award for the farthest distance traveled, it would be yours.
We had a couple of young guys and we put them right to work on the air hammer and grinders. They had a great time and wanted to come back and learn. We may just have a couple of new makers in the making.
Like many hammerin's the people really pitched in a made it all come together, it was one of those wonderful days moving hot steel.
Here are a few pics; you know it was good, check out the smiles.
Jeff rolling in around 7 am with the grill and drum smoker.
I had the forges running at 7 am as well.
His first time at a grinder.
The old salts watching and giving instruction when needed.
The ladies were in attendance as well.
We all ate too much.
Good friends from Columbus; Ed and Burton.
Moon Munjas spent most of his day teaching the new boys. Thank Moon!
The 75 jalapeno poppers were gone in 20 minutes. I told you we ate too much.
Darren eying the steel he just forged on the air hammer.
Checking out some new knives they've made.
