Etching a Coated Blade

I've been contemplating applying Cerakote to a few blades and was wondering if you could etch the maker's mark onto the blade after it has been coated? I searched through the forum and couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know?

Thanks

I would thing etchers only work contacting the steel. You would have to laser the logo on

Work the other way around!

You could etch the blades first, If the logo is big & Deep enough after you coat them you will still have a Logo on the blades to show your maker's mark.

It's Worth a try!
