W2 - Walrus Bowie

Hi Gang,
This is one I had a lot of fun with. The guard style and the Walrus are a first for me. The W-2 is of course is clayed. Blade is 7.50" long. Overall length 12.25" The hardware is from W's patten billit. I got the walrus @ the Boise knife show 2 years ago. I've been letting it acclimate since then. We have such dry humidity here in the high desert. I wanted to minimize shrinkage or cracking.

Very clean and great looking knife!
You know that you can get Bone & Walrus Stabilized? It makes a word of difference.
I use Mike at www.stabilizedwood.com/wssi.shtml He does the best and most consistent job of all of the Stabilizers I've tried.

I have used Mikes services a lot for wood. I did not know you could stabilize ivory.

Thanks
