Scottish Dirk in the style of the pre-Culloden period.
The 10-1/4 inch long blade is tempered 5160 spring steel with a slightly convex grind from the spine to the cannel-type cutting edge. The full length tang is rounded at the shoulders and slightly tapered from just over to just under 1/2 inch along it's length. At the tip it is reduced in section and threaded qith a 1/4-20 thread to secure the brass butt-plate. There is a brass shoulder-band of traditional form on the handle to prevent splitting. The handle is fully hand-carved with traditional Celtic Knotwork motifs and is of Cocobolo wood.

The single-seam scabbard provided is brown-dyed 8 oz. top-grain vegetable-tanned leather.
